Mag 1

Rebranding to move product

In the world of packaged products, blending in doesn’t pay.

Warren Distribution, a longtime manufacturer, marketer and distributor of automotive aftermarket products, identified growth opportunities for its Mag 1 brand. But an outdated logo and packaging made retailers less than excited to place it on their shelves.

Daake was brought on board to help the company breathe new life into the brand. To do this, we took a closer look at where these products are sold. We then considered what draws customers to a package, and then leads them to purchase. Our research also took into consideration industry regulations that could impact labeling and other packaging specifications.

Previous Brandmark

With a clear understanding of the marketplace and the clients’ goals, we rebranded Mag 1, including logo and packaging design. Balancing function with attention-grabbing graphics, the new logos, logotype, illustration and label designs made Mag 1 more attractive to retailers and customers alike.

The updated identity also helped showcase the quality of the product underscoring the company’s commitment to ongoing improvements and delivery of products that meet customer’s wants and needs.

When the Mag 1 rebrand launched, Warren Distribution increased the product’s presence at existing retailers by gaining additional shelf space, which ultimately lead to an increase of sales.

When we went to the new look for Mag 1 we were definitely able to gain shelf space and presence…in terms of additional facings at existing retailers that enabled us to grow our sales.
