A New Symbol of Prayer and Peace

Silent, serene contemplation – these are at the heart of the mission and spirit of The Cloisters on the Platte retreat center. Now, DAAKE has created an identity depicting these elements in a visual expression of spirituality and serenity. It features a monogram, of a capital “C” in the Ignatius strong classical typeface, further establishing the retreat center in the tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

A thin wave of blue passes through the C to symbolize not only the Platte River but also the God-centered purpose of the retreat center – and the faith-centered people who will be drawn to it. To be built on 930 acres of land in Nebraska’s Platte River Valley between Omaha and Lincoln donated by TD Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts, The Cloisters on the Platte is anticipated to open in 2018.
